hollis+morris open marquee Toronto furniture and lighting showroom

Based out of Toronto, hollis+morris takes it’s name from an intersection in Halifax where the company started as a series of garage explorations in design. The recent opening of the company’s 2400 square foot showroom will show off additions to the current collection in one curated space. With interconnected veils of radiant pendantsand walls that burn brightly as an electric hive, join us in this immersive space to bask in a captivating lightscape of floor to ceiling installations. This showroom celebrates a milestone in the brand’s journey that started just five years ago. Since its establishment in 2013, hollis+morris has accumulated a repertoire of past projects for brands such as Amazon, Facebook, Andaz Hotel, Google, Nobu, Disney, and Vice Magazine.hollis+morris

Solidifying the brand’s home and Toronto identity, hollis+morris will be setting up house at this year’s IDS for a public preview of new product and installations. Taking up residence in the hollis+morris HOUSE, a wood and LED structure, these installations will then relocate and settle for good in the new showroom.hollis+morris

Located in a sweet spot between the Junction Triangle and Castlefield Design District, the showroom at 501 Alliance Avenue will be open to the public weekdays (9-6) and weekends by appointment.hollis+morris

Sleek, geometric additions to the “Shapes” lighting collection push design possibilities into endless customizable configurations. The new hollis+morris “Pierce” collection showcases the beauty of effortless connectivity in a series of furniture and home objects. The dynamic minimalism of these new products forma seamless expansion to the current collection.hollis+morris

Along with this expansion, hollis+morris has also announced a partnership with Montreal based Montauk Sofa, and Toronto designer/maker duo of handcrafted rugs, Watson Soule. The showroom will display hollis+morris furniture and lighting side by side with select works from partner brands. This partnership is reflective of the ever growing Canadian made industry and the unwavering support of a community who values quality, handcrafted, locally made designs.
