10 architecture, interior design and landscape architecture projects in Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan were recognized at the 2018 Prairie Design Awards (PDA) ceremony on May 11th, 2018 in Banff, Alberta. Four Awards of Excellence were given to projects in Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Saskatoon. In addition, six Awards of Merit were granted to projects that exhibited a high level of quality and innovation.
The biannual Prairie Design Awards is a tri-provincial collaboration of The Alberta Association of Architects (AAA), The Saskatchewan Association of Architects (SAA) and The Manitoba Association of Architects (MAA). Awards are chosen every two years to recognize design excellence across the Prairies provinces. Two types of awards are presented, Awards of Excellence and Awards of Merit, across four categories: Recent Work, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and Small Projects.
