Winnipeg Architecture Foundation hosting Nuit Blanche exhibition
Join the Winnipeg Architecture Foundation (WAF) on Nuit Blanche, September 29, 2018 for a pop-up exhibition on shipping container architecture – inside a shipping container! Shipping containers are being reused for a wide variety of buildings. Visit the exhibit to see examples from Winnipeg and around the world.

The Nuit Blanche exhibit will take place at Winnipeg’s Old Market Square on Saturday, September 29, beginning at 6 pm and continuing through the night until dawn. Entry is free.

Nuit Blanche Winnipeg 2018 is a free all-night exploration and celebration of contemporary art that takes place on the Saturday of the Culture Days weekend, lasting from dusk to dawn. Held annually since 2010, the events and exhibits attract thousands of people to the three zones of activity: St. Boniface, Downtown and the Exchange District. Nuit Blanche Winnipeg takes place on Treaty 1 Territory and on the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene Peoples and the homeland of the Métis Nation.
Ahead of this month’s Nuit Blanche, the Winnipeg Architecture Foundation is also hosting an ongoing exhibit about the history of the city’s Niakwa Park subdivision. The Niakwa Park exhibitruns until September 21st at 266 McDermot Avenue in downtown Winnipeg.
