London Calling
Clerkenwell Design Week’s nine-year history demonstrates the success of this particular formula in promoting a neighbourhood design district. Yet while Clerkenwell does not have the strong fundamentals of Milan’s Salone del Mobile events, London certainly does not lack any kind of dynamic traffic and attractions to support a design event without a proper co-located fair.
The three-day festival celebrates extraordinary British and international creativity housed across London’s historic Clerkenwell, hosting over 150 exhibitors including more than 100 permanent showrooms and six installations. Over 80 world-renowned design brands have their showrooms in the area including Arper, Bolon, Bulthaup, Poltrona Frau Group, USM and Vitra to name just a few.
