Fogo Island film to kick-off event for the new ADFF:Vancouver.

For 10 years the Architecture & Design Film Festival (ADFF) has been showcasing the best documentaries and short films on architecture and design. Originating in New York City, and now celebrating its 10th year, the ADFF has launched globally in numerous cities including Los Angeles, Washington DC, and Athens. Recently added to the list is ADFF: Vancouver, launching in November 2019.

ADFF:Vancouver is a joint production of Leah Mallen (producer at All In Pictures) and Anne Pearson (owner of the design shop Vancouver Special) and ADFF. To celebrate this upcoming festival, ADFF: Vancouver will screen the Vancouver premiere of the film Strange and Familiar: Architecture on Fogo Island on Wednesday, 14 November. Following the screening ADFF founder Kyle Bergman will conduct a Q&A with director Katherine Wright and producer David Craig.

ADFF celebrates the unique creative spirit that drives architecture and design. With a curated selection of films, events, and panel discussions, ADFF creates an opportunity to entertain, engage, and educate all types of people who are excited about architecture and design. With well-attended screenings, legendary panelists, vibrant discussions, and events in major cities across North America, ADFF also programs for international film festivals as well as cultural institutions and private venues.
