Planning & Visual Education Partnership launches Bergmeyer Scholarship

The Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE) is pleased to announce the launch of the 2018-2019 Bergmeyer Scholarship. This scholarship recognizes and supports leadership potential in the Retail Design and Architecture field through a $1,500 award and a multi-day expenses-paid opportunity — covering airfare and accommodation, as well as a per diem — to take part in an immersive experience learning from some of the industry’s top designers at the Bergmeyer studios in Boston, Massachusetts. The application deadline is January 14, 2019.

Open to American and Canadian students, the PAVE Scholarship Program, now in its ninth year, provides financial assistance to students in educational programs preparing them for careers in the retail environments industry, including but not limited to careers in retail design and planning, and visual merchandising industries. PAVE was developed to help ensure a future talent pool for the industry by eliminating barriers to studying in these fields. PAVE has awarded over $175,000 in financial grants and scholarships over the past eight years to students.

Founded in 1992, the Planning and Visual Education Partnership’s (PAVE) objective is to encourage students to study in the field of retail design and planning and visual merchandising. Additionally, PAVE seeks to encourage retail management, store planners, visual merchandisers, architects, and manufacturers to interact with and support design students. These objectives are accomplished through competitions, projects, seminars, workshops, and grants and scholarships funded by the annual Gala and other fundraising activities. PAVE is a 501(c)(3) educational foundation.

Bergmeyer is a design firm that focuses on creating user experiences for the most common places we visit: where we learn, shop, eat, work, live, and gather.
