Sir David Adjaye speaking in Calgary

Photographer: Alan Karchmer

Sir David Adjaye is visiting Canada for the first time and will be lecturing on April 18 at the Calgary Central Library as part of the Design Matters Lecture Series hosted by the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Environmental Design, and as the closing  speaker of the 2018/19 season.

Adjaye will share the creative process behind his work, as well as his professional and personal commitment to the social purpose of architecture and the design of civic buildings that connect communities. Renowned for an eclectic material and color palette, and a capacity to offer a rich civic experience, his buildings differ in form and style, typologies and to reference a wide cultural discourse.
