SpecSimple.com’s non-profit North American recycling drive, Save A Sample!, is making its way across five cities in Canada. From September 18-19, Save A Sample! Canada 2019 will take place in Montréal, Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver, and Winnipeg.
The drive encourages designers to donate materials and samples to local design schools, which redirects “tons” of materials from landfills into the hands of talented students.
“Students from the Cegep du Vieux Montréal are very happy with the samples you delivered to us last September. We hope to receive some again this year,” said Édith Mallet, Design Instructor, CÉGEP du Vieux-Montréal, Département Design d’intérieur.
This year, SpecSimple.com welcomes back Formica as its national sponsor. According to Christelle Locat-Rainville, Marketing Director at Formica Canada Inc, last year’s Save A Sample! project was successful and Formica Canada is pleased to renew their collaboration.
