During the 1950s and 1960s, McCobb was among the leading contemporary furniture designers within the American industry.

Inspired by his New England upbringing and influenced by Shaker Design, the American designer’s range of furniture, accessories, textiles, and interior design projects have not been in production since his death in 1969, but are now making their way back into the scene through reissues.

“Perspective and scale in particular became a trademark for McCobb, whose tables, shelves and even lamps were the result of meticulous attention to the room the design would inhabit. Thin lines, simplicity of form and a distinct lightness characterise the works of Paul McCobb,” says Fitz Hansen.

According to Planner Group Designs by McCobb, the Planner collection was designed to satisfy the needs of those who seek superior design in their homes.

The graphic aesthetic of the Planner Shelves is fit for any setting, whether it’s an office, a waiting area to showcase accessories, or even a vanity for toiletries. McCobb’s signature quality within the Planner Shelves maintains organization in three versatile sizes.
