Shaw Contract has added three new collections that stimulate environments with energetic colourways, represent a holistic design approach, and targets workplaces, to their line of commercial flooring solutions and surfaces.
With sustainability at its core, Living Systems’ Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver collection of 9” x 36” carpet tiles embraces the concept of regenerative design to elevate modern interiors.
This soft surface flooring collection features biophilic patterns, textures and colours. Living Systems aims to observe nature, transform outlooks, and co-create a living system for all interior spaces.
“The Living Systems collection was designed utilizing the principles of regenerative design,” said Andrew Jackson, Marketing Director of EMEA. “Living Systems impacts human and natural resources by integrating the total system rather than focus on any specific component.”
Shaw Contract’s Suited collection is changing a typical work experience toward warm, welcoming spaces that foster a sense of place.
Suited takes cues from timeless fabrics and adds a laid-back sophistication to a workplace environment.
The collection is available in eight relaxed neutrals from cool light tones, darker shades, bold colour accents of green, gold, navy, and a classic black and white combination.
The right colour choices have the ability to positively influence information retention, improve attention span and increase the feeling of safety, according to Shaw Contract.
Focusing on the positive affect of our physical environments, Shaw Contract introduced a spirited new solution for commercial spaces.
Joy Squared is an “American made LVT collection of 24” x 24” (61 cm x 61 cm) tiles” inspired by hues and bursts of colour that evoke joyful memories.
Its palette ranges from neutrals, soft hues and brights creating soft, tonal steps for zoning and creating easy to navigate corridors.
The scale of this collection is approximately four times larger than a standard Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT), and offers the ability to create larger layouts for larger spaces.
The line variation and texture support long-term wear in demanding environments, while still creating visual interest and movement.
Joy Squared is engineered with a layered construction and features Shaw Contract’s scratch resistant ExoGuard+ top coat finish.
“While designing Joy Squared, we took inspiration not only from our clients design preferences, but also their experiences that brought joy to their personal lives,” said Michelle Carpenter, Director of Education and Government for Shaw Contract. “There’s something nostalgic and timeless about the pattern, shape and colours of Joy Squared. It feel familiar and fun all at the same time.”
