Ethnicraft Launches First Textile Collection
Ethnicraft’s first home textiles collection is a warm embodiment of the contemporary furniture company’s representation of quality and originality.
The ‘Refined Layers’ collection includes an assortment of 19 pillows, in two sizes, and five throw styles designed by Dawn Sweitzer and her love for nature and faraway travels.
Crafted from high-quality weaving yarns made from natural fibers − such as cotton, wool, and Belgian linen – Sweitzer chose a warm colour palette of soft whites, grays, and mustard.
The natural material of the yarns blends together to create a play on textures and assorted shaded tones. Manufactured from Jacquard fabrics in a Belgian family-owned weaving mill, the plush designs are perfect to mix and match.
“I wanted to achieve a sense of balance between a modern, uncluttered style and my own bohemian and refined influences. At one point in the process, I let things develop on their own, in a way that is organic. I am fascinated by the way beauty can manifest when something doesn’t go right during the creative process,” says Sweitzer.
