Gather ‘Round, pt. 2

This year’s top furniture picks favour simple geometric forms, wood accents and minimal embellishments.

Elinor | Pedrali

Designed by Claudio Bellini, the Elinor table is inspired by the soft, curving lines of its namesake executive chair (also by Bellini for Pedrali). The table’s base is defined by two elements moulded from rigid polyurethane foam and upholstered in genuine leather. The base supports an ultra-thin, 6mm laminate top, which is available as a square or rectangle with smooth edges. Elinor’s base elements can be moved and repositioned into different geometric arrangements to suit a variety of styles and needs.

Atwood Desk | Powell & Bonnell

Powell & Bonnell recently announced the addition of 10 new products to its furniture line, among them the Atwood Desk, a minimalist writing table ideal for office, hospitality or domestic settings. Available in pre-set or custom sizes, the desk contains tapered wooden legs that are attached to a table top using unique architectural truss-work. Inset lacquered apron and pencil drawers provide modest storage, with hardware that complements the metal details on the table’s base.

Angel Collection | Roche Bobois

The cocktail table, sofa, armchair and bridge chair, designed by Silvana Angeletti and Daniele Ruzza, each contain distinct aluminum frames with elements that split and join together like the branches of a tree. The furniture is available in white, blue or anthracite grey, with polyester foam cushions in four outdoor-friendly fabrics.

Roubel | PINCH

In celebration of its 15th anniversary, British design studio PINCH has launched a new sofa that embodies the brand’s commitment to strong shapes and high-quality materials. Roubel is defined by its top-heavy, wrap-around frame that sits on delicate wooden legs, offering targeted neck and back support and a comfortable base. The piece draws its inspiration from classical influences, and is fully customizable in any fabric, with oak or walnut legs.

Tape Cord Outdoor | Minotti

Nendo Design’s 2018 Tape collection has been expanded to include new items for the outdoors. The sofas, chairs, chaises lounges and tables are crafted in metal with a new outdoor finish, including water-resistant and removable cushion covers in various colours. Like all Tape products, the new outdoor pieces contain the line’s signature ribbon piece that aesthetically secures the legs to the crown.
