Stellar Works launches the first round of its new 2020 collections

For 2020, Stellar Works is set to launch a series of collections throughout the year by new and existing collaborators. In keeping with the brand’s heritage in creating pieces which celebrate contemporary Asian craft and international aesthetics, Stellar Works has worked with collaborators OEO Studio and Neri&Hu.

Neri&Hu, creative directors of Stellar Works, are responsible for the Stack chair. This lightweight, multi-purpose chair is designed with a thin tubular steel frame, which acts as the supporting element for the seat but also follows the entire silhouette of the chair as a distinctive design feature. The continuous lines give Stack a strong graphic character, while maintaining softness and comfort, due to the three-dimensional steel bending technique used. As its name alludes, the Stack chair is stackable, to also optimise its storage and space requirements when not in use.

Danish designers OEO Studio have collaborated with Stellar Works since the company was founded in 2012. This year OEO Studio present Seiton, a new versatile modular storage system that can be adapted to form high and low shelving and cabinet options. Seiton can also be configured as a freestanding room divider and comes in an easy to assemble flat pack. Seiton is a functional piece made from wood with powder coated steel and burnished brass elements, the design will be available in walnut and oak.

2020 is set to be an exciting year for Stellar Works with the brand also announcing a new phase for the company – a partnership with Denmark’s Nine United (who also own &Tradition and until very recently had a stake in HAY).
