Best of Canada competition deadline EXTENDED!
You asked, we listened.
The COVID-19 pandemic has been causing many unforeseeable difficulties for the Canadian A+D industry, for example inabilities due to lockdown and quarantine restrictions to access and photograph new project sites. Therefore, based on your strong feedback regarding that and many other logistical hurdles being faced by the Canadian design community, we at Canadian Interiors have decided to significantly extend the submission window in order to give you more time to submit your Projects and Products to the Canadian Interiors Best of Canada Awards competition.
Submissions are now due by Thursday, September 10.
The structure and outline of the competition will remain the same: projects and products are each judged anonymously and on their individual merit by a jury of esteemed architecture and design professionals, each expert in their areas of focus. All winners will be published in the Awards issue of Canadian Interiors, now scheduled for the November-December issue, with the Project of the Year winner featured on the cover. Additionally, the Judges’ Pick winner of the Products category will receive a trip package (incl. flight + hotel) to Paris, France to attend Maison+Objet as a VIP in January 2021, courtesy of Maison+Objet (and will be notified far in advance of the Awards issue being released).
Projects must have been completed between June 2018 and August 2020. The project must be either located in Canada, or an international project where a member of the design team is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Products must be physically prototyped; or if in production must have been launched in the market in the same timeframe.
The Best of Canada is the country’s only design competition focusing on interior design projects and products without regard to size, budget or location. Submissions are welcome from interior designers, architects, landscape architects, decorators, crafts persons and design students.
For more information on the awards please visit the Best of Canada webpage, and to submit your entry, click here.
Stay healthy, stay safe, and we look forward to seeing your best work entered in the competition!
