Figure3 was honoured with two wins at the CHBA 2020 National Awards for Housing Excellence for its Trailside by District Developments and The Saint by Minto Communities projects. The developments received recognition in the Best Sales Centre and Best Mid- to High-Rise Condominium or Apartment Project (Planned) categories.
Presented by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association, the competition recognizes the best in Canadian new homes, home renovations, community development and marketing. Over 700 entries were received from coast to coast, from small towns and large urban areas. Nearly 200 judges reviewed images, floor plans, and project description before narrowing down the field.
“It’s always an honour to win at the CHBA’s, especially as the accolade is recognized across Canada,” said Dominic De Freitas, Principal at Figure3. “Both of these projects truly focused on what the user needs would be. We really pushed the boundaries, with the goal to elevate the living experience.”
For Distrikt’s Trailside located in the Town of Oakville, Figure3 designed its sales centre with a casual hospitality feel instead of a typical condo sales environment. The visitor experience emulates what it would be like to live at Trailside’s luxurious condo, with emphasis on comfort for potential buyers, as seen in the speakeasy-style lounge.
“For the Trailside sales centre, Figure3 created a truly iconic design,” says Emil Toma, Founder at Distrikt Developments. “With their creativity and expertise, they helped us realize our vision with such a sophisticated and inviting space. It continues to impress, and it’s helped Trailside to be a great sales success.”
Soon to be located in Toronto’s St. Lawrence Market neighourhood, The Saint is designed for those seeking a balanced urban lifestyle in a busy downtown. Inspiration for the project was derived from traditional Japanese design and values, with an emphasis on health and wellness, embodying the core ideals of balance, symmetry and rhythm – a manifestation of ingenuity and forward thinking.
