After the opening last December of its first showroom in New York’s Tribeca neighborhood,  Lambert&Fils introduces seven showpieces of its new Atelier line, showcased in the new location.

Founded in 2010 by Samuel Lambert, and based in Canada, the brand is recognized for its poetic approach to contemporary lighting and at the same time it is centered around preserving the bond between design and making.

The Atelier line is a collection of sculptural, showpiece models, imagined by the Lambert & Fils design studio without material limitation or constraint. Using the brand’ standard collections as a departure place, Atelier models are special variations on popular designs that shed the limitations of consumer collections.

“I wanted to revisit the vocabulary we had created with each collection, and imagine what new phrases we could come up with, using the same words,” says Samuel Lambert. “For me, it’s a way to both honor the last ten years and push ourselves further and deeper.”

Seven Atelier models are on display at their recently opened Hudson and Duane showroom. New models will be launched periodically over the upcoming year.

All lighting is conceived, designed and hand-assembled in the brand’s atelier in Montreal, where more than 50 creatives of varying backgrounds collaborate defining the studio as one of the country’s most energized hubs for collaborative design.
