Be Original Americas announces 2021 Global Virtual Student Fellowship

From June 2 to 25, twenty-two design companies will present through a series of webinars for the 2021 global Virtual Student Fellowship program by Be Original Americas.

Each session will focus on different aspects of design and architecture, as well as issues facing global firms today. Students will experience an inside look into the factories, architecture and design studios, and headquarters of Be Original Americas’ member companies around the world.

The Virtual Student Fellowship will share insights into the creative process, manufacturing, and the business and ethical side of design, through live, interactive sessions for future architects, designers, and entrepreneurs across the globe.

The program will also explore concerns on diversity and sustainability. The fellowship’s global nature allows for presenters to connect with students through educational presentations, interactive Q+A’s, and lively discussions.

According to the organizers, there will be direct outreach to universities and students, as well as support from member organizations American Society of Interior Designers and the International Interior Design Association reaching out to their student members.

Those who register and attend five or more sessions will have the opportunity to win a portfolio or resume review session with one of the presenting companies.

To help fund the 2022 Fellowship, Skyline Design will donate a percentage of sales from their new Obscura collection from June 1st – November 30, 2021. This partnership will support the continuing fellowship program.

The opportunity is available to currently enrolled university students worldwide. To register and receive updates, visit: https://www.beoriginalamericas.com/2021-virtual-fellowship.
