Designers, design offices and manufacturers are invited to enter their products for the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2022. The design competition is open for entries until February 11, 2022.
Entries can be made in one or several of the roughly 50 categories ranging from furniture and kitchen appliances to toys, consumer electronics, medical technology, robots and vehicles
In addition to the traditional product groups, objects can also be entered in the metacategories “Smart Products” and “Innovative Products”. Participants entering their products in these categories can win on the double to receive two awards in the competition.
The evaluation process is based on various judging criteria, which include degree of innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics, durability, symbolic and emotional content, product periphery, self-explanatory quality, and ecological compatibility.
Registration deadlines
Early Bird: 11 October to 5 November 2021
Regular: 6 November 2021 to 21 January 2022
Latecomer: 22 January to 11 February 2022
Young Professionals Application Day: 1 December 2021
