Restaurant & Bar Design Awards has opened submissions for its competition. Entering its 14th year, the awards recognizes and celebrates creative spaces, and the people behind them.
The organization has announced a change in its award categories this year. There are now five categories to cover each of the following regions: Europe, Americas, Asia, Middle East and Africa, Australia and Pacific. There are also 15 other global categories, which are open to everyone.
All entries are automatically considered for the best restaurant/bar award for their region as well as for the ultimate global awards of Best Overall Restaurant and Best Overall Bar (at no extra cost).
Category winners will be announced via Instagram during the week of the 5th of September. Overall winners will be announced at a ceremony at a London venue in October 2022 (precise date and location to be confirmed).
Featuring 40 leading names from the design, architecture, hospitality, lifestyle and media industry, the judges include Ben Spriggs (Editor in Chief, ELLE Decoration UK), Tom Aikens (Chef Proprietor), Verena Haller (Chief Design Officer, Standard Hotels) and a wide array of other globally recognised thought leaders.
Brands represented in the judging line-up include Condé Nast Traveler, MGM Resorts International, Airbnb, Marriott International, Accor Hotels, Grupo Dani Garcia, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, National Geographic, Merivale, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Resorts World Las Vegas & SH Hotels & Resorts.
