Bosquet and Les Ensembliers launch a new outdoor furniture collection
Montreal-based furniture maker Bosquet and design duo Les Ensembliers, have joined forces to launch an outdoor furniture collection inspired by the coolness and experimental vibe felt in California in the 1960s.
The 10-piece collection, which includes sofas, ottomans, day beds, sling and lounge chairs, dining tables, and chairs, is created with Spanish cedar wood with a rousette matte finish, ideal for outdoor furnishings due to the exposure to moisture, and textiles from fine weavers.
Born from the concepts and designs developed by Richard Ouellette and Maxime Vandal from Les Ensembliers, this collection paints the lavishness of yacht life and brings a balance of sleek, minimalistic lounge comfort.“I love pure and unadorned spaces that leave room for the view in a large garden, a terrace, or even on the coast. I love sleek and voluminous furniture that inspires true relaxation” says Richard Ouellette, partner, and co-founder of Les Ensembliers.
Located close to Montreal, you’ll find Bosquet, a quaint furniture maker from rural Quebec who built its reputation creating high-end architectural doors and windows. With its proximity to Montreal, the Montérégie region boasts a varied and dynamic artistic and creative scene.
With local resources and community at its heart, the company makes it a point of maintaining its facilities and atelier with people that live in the community. This collection is no exception, as it is produced in the atelier.
“Les Ensembliers’ love for aesthetics and attention to detail combined with Bosquet’s expertise and passion for intricate craftsmanship are elements that complete a perfect match,” said Valérie Guilmette, General Manager for Bosquet
