Call for submissions: TSA 2022 Gingerbread City

The Toronto Society of Architects’ (TSA) Gingerbread City is back again as a hybrid event with both an in-person display at the Maker Bean Café, and a virtual showcase on the TSA website.
The organization has opened a call for submissions for those wanting to participate in the physical showcase by registering before December 4, and all submissions on December 11.

This year, the TSA is launching their new special program, Kids’ Main Street, which includes in-person gingerbread workshops. At two sessions of these workshops offered on Saturday, December 3, architects and gingerbread experts will help children (7+) design and decorate their very own Main Street façades, which will then be collaged into a digital community Main Street and showcased on the TSA website.

Kids can also join from home with handy templates that the TSA HAS created, which they can then photograph and submit to the virtual display before December 11.

The storefront display and virtual showcase should be up and running by December 14.
