Now in its 30th year, the Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition is open to all architects, interior designers, and students based in North America.
Organized by Confindustria Ceramica (the Italian Association of Ceramics) and the Italian Trade Agency, the competition celebrates North American architects, designers, and students who create innovative spaces using Italian ceramic and porcelain tile from Ceramics of Italy brands.
Domestic and international new construction and renovation projects completed between January 2018 and January 2023 are eligible for entry in the built categories. Students enrolled at an accredited university in North America are also invited to submit their imaginative renderings, floor plans, and sketches utilizing tile from one or more Ceramics of Italy manufacturer.
There is no fee to enter and multiple projects may be submitted. Categories include:
- Institutional
- Multi-Family Residential
- Single-Family Residential
- Commercial
- Student
Winners in the built-project categories will receive a 5-day CEU trip to Italy to attend Cersaie. Also, all category winners will receive an expense-paid trip to Coverings 2023 in Orlando, FL, and present their projects in front of a large audience of design and trade media, manufacturers, and tile industry professionals.
As this competition celebrates the use of Italian tile, projects must feature a significant amount of ceramic or porcelain tile from at least one Ceramics of Italy member company.
Submissions will be accepted until December 19, 2022 at 11:59 PM EST.
