Canadian projects by HOK and Gow Hastings Architects among winners at IIDA Global Excellence Awards
IIDA has announced the winners of the 2022 IIDA Global Excellence Awards across 15 categories. The annual competition highlights the world’s most creative and innovative interior design and interior architecture projects.
“It is a pleasure to highlight an impressive array of projects from around the world,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO, Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. “The winners in each category exemplify the future thinking approach our industry is embracing, and depict the level of thoughtfulness and design distinction firms continue to mold into their work.”
The finalists were selected by a jury of design experts, including Revel Architecture & Design Managing Principal, Sarah Devine, IIDA; Hickok Cole Associate Principal, Director of Interiors, Mike Johnson II, IIDA, AIA, NOMA; Designworks, A BMW Group Company Director, Industrial Design, Los Angeles Studio, Johannes Lampela; and Antunovich Associates Senior Principal, Director of Interior Design, Patricia Rotundo, IIDA.
“Though each of the finalists showcased notable ingenuity in their respective categories,” said Johnson on behalf of the jury, “the winning projects best demonstrate the talent that both currently exists and is found in the potential of the design industry.”
