Digital Event Aims to Reshape Web3 and the Metaverse

Metaverse Architecture Biennale (MAB), “Presence of the Future,” which is set to take place on September 21 to 24, 2023, aims to bring together leading creators globally to demonstrate the importance of architecture and design in reshaping Web3 and the Metaverse as a powerful platform for business and culture.
Drawing inspiration from the Venice Biennale and Expo, the MAB will feature virtual pavilions and worlds crafted by architects at the forefront of digital design, including names like Killa Design, LAVA, PLP, ATRIUM, Soomeen Hahm, Spaces DAO, DA!, Il Prisma, SA lab, iheartblob, Mariana Cabugueira Studios, Illusorr, Drew Gilbert, along with fifteen designers chosen through an open call.
Prominent metaverse platforms, Decentraland and W3rlds, will serve as venues and provide an immersive experience for visitors. Over the course of four days, attendees will be able to teleport between these two realms while exploring virtual pavilions, interacting with exhibits, and connecting with a global community of creators. This digital event will be accessible to all, requiring only a computer to access the platforms.

The free event will also spotlight several architectural firms, industry leaders, and creators who are leading the way in this digital revolution. An open call has already been initiated to select virtual creators from around the world and feature their projects alongside established names at the Biennale.
In addition to the “build” environment, visitors will also have the opportunity to take part in cultural and entertainment activities, lectures and discussions, an Architecture Carnival, and more. The public program will be published closer to the event date and will include experts from the architecture, Metaverse, design, and marketing sectors.
“We aim to redefine the role of architecture and design in shaping the future of the Metaverse. We truly believe that architecture will play an integral part in the creation of the Metaverse, as graphic design played in shaping the internet we use today,” said Sergey Nadtochiy, co-organizer and curator of MAB.
“This event will not only showcase the remarkable creativity of our global community, but also serve as a platform for exploring the limitless possibilities that the Metaverse offers to businesses worldwide,” added Irina Dubovik, co-organizer of MAB.

With an expected attendance of over 50,000 visitors, the involvement of 10 major companies, and an open call for awards, this event provides a unique opportunity to contribute to web3 technologies and gain exposure to a worldwide audience.
Organizers also promise various preliminary activities leading up to the event, which will enable the audience to become better acquainted with the metaverse platforms, Web3 technologies, and themes related to virtual architecture and design.
