ADFF announces dates for 23/24 season
A new robust program of documentaries about architecture and design from around the world, with more post-screening Q&As, conversations, and panels than in previous years.

The Architecture & Design Film Festival (ADFF) has announced dates for their 2023/24 season with the Canadian festivals taking place in November.
Marking their 15th year, the ADFF will once again be showing documentaries about architecture and design from around the world at their upcoming series of festivals.
The first festival of the season will kick off in New York in mid-October with the Toronto and Vancouver festivals taking place from Nov. 1 to 4, and Nov. 9 to 12, 2023.
In total, the programming team selected 18 films from 12 different countries for this year’s event. These include three films made by children of architects who are attempting to understand their unique childhoods through the lens of the architect who raised them. One of these films includes My Architect, which will have its 20th-anniversary screening at the festival.
The ADFF also has three new films that feature South Asia: a film on Le Corbusier’s experiment in Chandigarh, a film on the legendary B.V. Doshi, who passed away earlier this year, and a new film on Geoffrey Bawa that takes a different angle than the Bawa film that was shown last year.
This year, there will also be a film that looks at housing in Sao Paulo, one about gentrification in Denmark, one that looks at how the industry has designed their way into the climate crisis and how the community can design their way to a greener future.
The ADFF has also planned more post-screening Q&As, conversations, and panels this year.
Tickets for the Toronto and Vancouver festivals go on sale on Oct. 1, 2023. While the films and speakers are yet to be announced, more information can be found here.
