The professional association of interior designers of Québec (APDIQ) recently hosted its annual colloquium, an event that brings together professionals in the field each year.

This year’s colloquium, which took place on November 21, 23, 28 and 30, 2023, embraced both in-person and virtual formats and offered a comprehensive experience over the course of four days. The theme, “Interior Design for Tomorrow,” aimed to represent the ever-evolving landscape of interior design in a dynamic world.

The event served as a platform for professionals to engage in meaningful discussions about current and future challenges within the industry.

Over 30 exhibitors participated this year and attendees had the opportunity to explore cutting-edge materials, hardware, lighting, and more.

Renowned experts also guided participants through thought-provoking discussions on the interconnections between artificial intelligence (AI), the historical evolution of the profession, quality in design, and the circular economy.

Supplier partners played a significant role and contributed products and services that fostered inspiring exchanges with visitors. Supplier webinars also benefited designers from all regions—both association members and non-members alike.

The magnificent Théâtre Paradoxe, a former church, transformed into an event hall and provided a fitting backdrop for the occasion where participants had the opportunity to reconnect, share experiences, and strengthen bonds within the interior design community.
