Salone del Mobile.Milano set to return with new layout

Salone del Mobile.Milano, which will be returning to Italy this spring, is set to debut a new layout and feature thousands of exhibitors.

The new frontier of the Salone del Mobile.Milano: to be an open ecosystem and experience capable of connecting and offering a great many visions of the future to the design community.

Salone del Mobile.Milano’s 62nd edition is set to take place from April 16 to 21, 2024, in Milan, Italy.The event is expected to feature more than 1,900 exhibitors, including 600 up and coming designers under 35 and 22 design schools along with three innovative installations.

The installations will include one by filmmaker David Lynch, who will unveil “lnteriors by David Lynch. A Thinking Room.” Additionally, attendees can expect to see “Under the Surface,” designed and produced by Accurat, Design Group Italia, and Emiliano Ponzi for the International Bathroom Exhibition and one by EuroCucina, who will host a welcoming stage with six international independent food magazines in the project “All You Have Ever Wanted to Know About Food Design in Six Performances.”

During the event, Annalisa Rosso will curate a full program of Talks and Round Tables entitled “Drafting Futures. Conversations about Next Perspectives.”

This year, SaloneSatellite will also be celebrating a milestone; its 25th edition with a special exhibit at the Triennale Museum.

This year’s event will also feature layout changes driven by Milanese studio Lombardini22, based on their neuroscience research focused on the exhibition experience. The redesigned layout will feature adjacent, linked pavilions for the first time.

Salone del Mobile aims to foster open discussions between business and design culture while also reflecting on contemporary challenges in the home, hospitality, and contract sectors.
