ARIDO is currently seeking a diverse group of experienced registered interior designers to serve as interviewers/assessors for the upcoming examination alternative entrance interview process.
Their expertise will be crucial in evaluating applicants’ readiness for unsupervised practice as well as upholding the profession’s high standards.
ARIDO is looking for senior-level practitioners who are ARIDO registered members, including dual ARIDO and OAA members. OAA members, however, must be a licensed architect in good standing. Additionally, they are seeking registered or qualified members of other Canadian provincial interior design associations in good standing.
Those who qualify will get to participate in panel interviews with applicants, periodically act as the interview panel chairperson, assess applicants on established competencies using set questions, assign ratings based on scoring guidelines, provide constructive feedback to applicants and uphold the integrity and standards of the ARIDO registration process.
Benefits of participating include contributing to the equitable assessment of qualifications for entry into the interior design profession, receiving ongoing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity (EDI) and bias training, gaining valuable insights into emerging trends and practices in the field and receiving an annual stipend.
Please note that individuals who have been involved with the Council for Interior Design Qualification, Inc. (CIDQ) related to the NCIDQ exams in the past five years or currently, including holding positions, participating in task forces, or serving as committee members, and who have signed and are bound by CIDQ confidentiality and conflict of interest agreements are not eligible.
