Three Canadian architecture and design firms have announced the promotions of members of their staff, each of whom has made important contributions to the team.
Toronto-based Mason Studio is pleased to announce that Marti Gallucci has been made Equity Partner. This appointment marks a natural progression for Mason Studio’s long-time Design Director, whose leadership has shaped the firm’s creative and operational core since 2013. She has driven major hospitality, residential, and international projects—including Shenzhen’s Runxi Towers and Park View Manor, and Toronto’s Saint Regis and Kimpton Saint George Hotel—while refining the studio’s research-driven, highly collaborative design culture. Known for her clarity, rigor, and ability to translate complex challenges into grounded solutions, Gallucci strengthens Mason Studio’s evolution toward a more distributed leadership model. Her partnership positions the firm for deeper expertise and culturally resonant work.

The announcement was made publicly during the 2025 IDC Impact Award in Toronto, which drew recognition to the contributions of Mason Studio on the interior design community.
IN8 Design Inc. joins Ray Inc.
On December 1, 2025, IN8 Design principals Michel Arcand and Don Parker joined the team at Ray Inc., marking a next step for the two Toronto design firms.
With over 40 design awards and more than 20 years of collaboration between them, the IN8 principals bring a legacy of design that aligns with Ray’s practice. Their partnership has already produced notable work, including the Cadillac Fairview management office inside Toronto’s Toronto-Dominion Centre, which is honoured for its respect for Mies van der Rohe’s architectural legacy. This move strengthens a shared commitment to high-performing environments and positions the combined team for continued leadership in Canada’s design community.

Kasian Architecture and Interior Design
Kasian Architecture, Interior Design and Planning has announced the appointment of Adele Rankin as principal and vice president of Interior Design.
With over 20 years of design leadership and business development experience, Rankin’s career spans hospitality, senior living, and multifamily residential sectors, with notable projects including the Karl Lagerfeld Hotel at Grand Lisboa Palace Resort in Macau, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, the Dorian Autograph Collection in Calgary, and the REN residential tower in Seattle. Rankin’s leadership has extended across global markets, where she has overseen multidisciplinary teams of over 100 designers and led the growth of multiple international studios. In her new role, Rankin will advance Kasian’s national interior design practice, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support growth across the firm’s studios. She is recognized for her ability to lead projects from concept to completion, building strong client relationships, championing design excellence, and mentoring emerging talent.
