The Loneliest Colour | Sherwin-Williams

Sherwin-Williams has announced Offbeat Green SW 6706 as the Loneliest Colour 2026, its least-used tint, which is now being reframed. At a time when warm neutrals and safe palettes continue to dominate interiors, Sherwin-Williams is making the case for a more expressive approach to colour, spotlighting a vivid green many homeowners may have previously overlooked.

Offbeat Green SW 6706 is a citric lime green with warm yellow undertones that balances boldness with livable warmth. The campaign taps into a shift toward individuality in interiors, encouraging homeowners to design spaces that feel uniquely theirs. The shade works well as an accent across cabinetry, powder rooms, creative spaces, and layered interiors, paired with soft neutrals, earthy tones, and natural textures. Rather than forecasting the next “it” colour, the Loneliest Color 2026 challenges the idea that “popularity defines good design,” encouraging people to rediscover the beauty in unexpected shades.

ECOTY “Bark” | BeautiTone

BeautiTone has revealed its 2026 Exterior Colour of the Year: “Bark” (WSBT02), a warm, transparent stain that enhances the natural grain of wood, elevating outdoor structures. Formulated with advanced resins and UV-resistant pigments, “Bark” is engineered to withstand harsh weather conditions, resist peeling and cracking, and provide protection against moisture damage. The shade is a tribute to nature’s imperfections and celebrates the beauty of the unaltered, inspired by nature’s palette.

“Designed to enrich outdoor living spaces with authenticity and timeless character, ‘Bark’ is an homage to the quiet strength of the forest,” said Kristen Gear, specialist, colour and graphic designer, BeautiTone Paint and Home Products. “With Bark, the grain of the wood feels deeper, the texture more pronounced, and the colour unmistakably natural. At the same time, contractors can feel confident recommending it for projects that demand both visual impact and reliable, long-term performance.”
