At the heart of Blinds To Go’s new Westmount headquarters, two lacquer-red staircases operate less as circulation devices than as spatial choreography. The first rises from the ground-floor showroom with a graphic confidence that immediately collapses the boundary between retail and workplace, transforming movement into a brand gesture. Saturated in the company’s signature hue, the stair introduces a calibrated jolt of colour against an otherwise restrained Scandinavian-inflected palette. On the second floor, its counterpart appears at the terminus of a long corridor, establishing a visual axis that organizes the office across multiple levels. Together, the pair create a legible rhythm through the 25,000-sq.-ft. interior while reinforcing connectivity between teams occupying separate floors. Their sculptural presence offsets the project’s softer residential cues, bringing clarity and momentum to the workplace. More than wayfinding elements, the staircases act as anchors of identity, translating a corporate colour into an architectural experience.
