The brick-and-mortar locations of this high-end Canadian luggage and travel accessories brand have been getting noticed recently for how cleverly their spaces are conceived as a spatial journey that mirrors the rituals and rhythms of travel itself. Set within the Washington, D.C. neighbourhood of Georgetown’s historic brick streetscape, this particular store unfolds through a carefully paced sequence of arches, thresholds, and framed views that guide visitors gradually inward. A circular light installation establishes the point of departure, introducing a moment of orientation before the interior begins to reveal itself in stages. The procession through the space relies on subtle shifts between compression and openness, allowing products to emerge slowly rather than all at once. Sound and scent deepen the atmosphere, while floor-to-ceiling mirrors extend sightlines and distort perception, creating the sensation of movement beyond the store’s modest footprint. Materially restrained, a palette of plaster, concrete, and softly painted brick reinforces a sense of calm permanence.
