Japanese office furniture brand NII recently chose Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026 as the stage for its first presentation outside of Japan. The brand, created within ITOKI Corporation, presented Bitmap, a collection exploring flexible workplace environments through adaptable furniture systems designed to support communication, collaboration, and creativity. Developed under NII’s concept of “Ingenious Design,” Bitmap reflects the brand’s focus on creating workspaces shaped by movement, interaction, and evolving needs.
The sofa has a unique shape formed by two rectangular blocks, one large and one small, fused along one edge. The smaller block gives the illusion of floating in space, introducing an element of surprise. It can function as a side table, armrest, or seat, and is accessible from all sides. While this sofa is a single piece, the design allows multiple pieces to be fitted in a modular layout, allowing for communication in multiple ways, whether side-to-side, face-to-face, or diagonally.
Grand Giro Modular Sofa | Andreu World
Andreu World presented the Giro Soft collection at its Milan showroom during Salone del Mobile.Milano. Giro Soft is a modular sofa system designed for efficient use of space, with an organic form and comfortable character. It is built on an architectural base with solid ash feet in the shape of a sleigh or an injected aluminum frame. Its modular elements allow for different configurations for public and private spaces. Designed by Alfredo Häberli, Giro Soft can be configured from a compact two-seater to a flowing seating arrangement. Its defining feature is the continuous curve of its back and armrest, creating an organic silhouette that is not typically found in modular sofa systems. Designed for flexibility, the collection adapts easily to a variety of spaces while maintaining its sculptural character.
Geometriæ | Moroso
Launched at Salone del Mobile.Milano, Geometriæ by Stockholm-based design studio Front explores the relationship between geometry, textiles, and perception. Designers Anna Lindgren and Sofia Lagerkvist combine basic geometric forms, including spheres, cylinders, and parallelepipeds, to create upholstered pieces that appear to shift between two- and three-dimensional forms. The collection translates hand-drawn geometric studies into jacquard-woven textiles, with illustrated shadows and surfaces integrated into the fabric. The resulting pieces use pattern and volume to create the effect of depth, blending visual representation with physical form. Through Geometriæ, Front examines how geometry can move beyond structure to influence how objects are perceived within a space.
MC72 | Studio Paolo Ferrari
The MC72 Collection, launched at Salone del Mobile.Milano, takes inspiration from the Macchi M.C.72 seaplane, translating its aerodynamic precision, technical innovation, and pursuit of balance into an upholstered sofa and coffee table. Defined by a low profile, curves, and a sense of lightness, the collection balances form with function and comfort. Designed by Paolo Ferrari, the collection translates a pursuit of streamlining, balance, and clarity into upholstered form through tailored upholstery and softened volumes that recall the relationship between a fuselage and float. The sofa is paired with a coffee table featuring a white limestone top and matte lacquer envelope.
“MC72 began with the horizon, with the idea of a vessel cutting cleanly through water, where resistance shapes form and every curve answers to performance,” said Paolo Ferrari. “The collection evokes a hull-like, low-profile silhouette that feels as though it could glide, volumes that meet the ground with the deliberate lightness of a floating vessel. Shaped by balance and the poetry of movement across a surface.”
