TR Trades is proud to have collaborated with BC Place, one of Canada’s most iconic multi-purpose stadiums, on an interior design and visual storytelling project that celebrates the venue’s most memorable moments. When BC Place wanted to add large format printed images to their stadium spaces, they relied on TR Trades for expert guidance on design, materials, finishing, and display solutions. The result is a collection of framed photographic prints that bring the stadium’s iconic events to life.
A Partnership Built on Print Expertise
As part of this collaboration, BC Place provided TR Trades with a large number of images which were to be designed into professional looking collages. To complete the collages, many of the images had to be digitally interpolated to improve resolution and sharpness for high quality reproduction. Using AI upscaling software, TR Trades designers were able to enlarge smaller source files into larger sizes while maintaining clarity and resolution. Once the collages were digitally complete, there was a series of digital proofing, revisions, and final approval by BC Place was given.
- Each print was produced on Epson premium photo paper, mounted to 3/16″ white foamcore, and finished in 0.75″ black frames.
- Satin gold plates identifying the artist and event date were added to the frames.
- Prints were produced in various sizes, up to 40″ × 40″, with a total of 44 framed pieces.
Enhancing Every Corner of the Venue
The framed prints are displayed throughout both guest-facing public areas and back-of-house spaces. For guests, these displays enrich the stadium experience by highlighting unforgettable performances and achievements. For staff and team members, the imagery serves as a source of pride, celebrating the milestones and shared success that define BC Place.
This thoughtful placement creates a cohesive visual narrative across the venue, reinforcing its identity and connection to the event it hosts.
The collages contain images from events at BC Place, featuring artists such as Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Beyonce, Elton John, Rolling Stones, and more. Sports events such as the Grey Cup, BC Lions, White Caps, Supercross, Invictus Games, and more.
TR Trades worked closely with the BC Place team to provide guidance on design, print finishing, materials, and display methods, ensuring each image was produced and presented in the intended way for the space. This expertise allowed BC Place to confidently bring its most memorable events to life through their captured images.
