Each academic year, Ryerson School of Interior Design culminates with a showcasing of student talent at the In[sid]out year-end show.
This year’s edition expresses the School of Interior Design as an experiential threshold. In[sid]out, the bridging of two mutually defining terms, is indicative of the student learning experience over the four years as well as the transformation of the school during this memorable event.
Showcasing over 150 projects this year, including 90 thesis projects, In[sid]out will display the best work from each year. For the first time, the fourth-year thesis projects will be displayed in the studio space on the second floor of the building. Keeping with the theme, the thesis projects will be displayed from modules floating vertically through the space and laid out in a labyrinth pattern. The show will also feature four special installations designed and built by small teams of second- and third-year students.
On the gala night, a facade projection will give the public an opportunity to see the inner workings of the school. The projection will create a virtual slice through the School of Interior Design building, revealing how the students work during the busiest time of the year.
The show will welcome over 2000 attendees, providing them with food, drinks, and great music.
