Haworth in Boston & Houston

Exciting news from Haworth (haworth.com), global leader in the design and manufacturing of office furniture and organic workspaces. The company’s showroom in Boston has earned LEED Gold; and it has opened a new showroom, in Houston.

HAWORTH BOSTON
The United States Green Building Council (USGBC) has awarded LEED Gold certification for the achievement of green design, construction and operation of Haworth’s Boston showroom. Boston is the 10th of Haworth’s 11 U.S. showrooms to be LEED certified.

The 5,600 square-foot Boston showroom is located on the second floor of the Oliver Street Tower at 125 High St., just one block away from the heart of Boston’s financial district. The design and reconstruction of the space involved a highly skilled team that included Perkins+Will, GMB Architect + Engineering and Turner Construction. The Boston Commons and the abundance of green space throughout the city inspired the showroom concept.

HAWORTH HOUSTON
The company recently opened its newest showroom in Houston, Texas. Located at 2 East Greenway Plaza in Suite 100, the space features cutting-edge technology, a design inspired by live oaks and an integrated palette of furniture. Using native woods and inspired by patterning in filtered light, the new Houston showroom design features Haworth’s Integrated Palette products that allow users to transition seamlessly from one work style or culture to another. Haworth Collection, which includes products from Italian brands Cappellini, Cassina, Castelli, and Poltrona Frau, is prominently displayed in a lounge setting along the front windows. Additional technology elements include workware – a family of products that provide solutions for monitor placement, power/data connectivity and user control of monitor access. The space also includes traditional wood offices, casegoods, and a seating display.

Haworth partnered with Perkins+Will, GMB Architecture + Engineering and Turner Construction to develop and build Houston’s Greenway Plaza showroom concept. The Haworth Houston showroom is expecting to achieve LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
