Perkins+Will is pleased to announce that its Optimization Project with TD Bank has won CoreNet Global’s CRE Leadership Excellence Award at the Annual REmmy Awards for successfully implementing and delivering a major corporate workplace project in the iconic TD Centre using the innovative Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) model.
Initiated by the client, the TD project was Canada’s first multi-party IPD contract in the corporate and commercial market sector. The IPD team, comprised of TD Bank Group, Perkins+Will, Turner Construction, Teknion, Plan Group and Brookfield Johnson Controls, came together to optimize project results; increase value to the owner; reduce waste; and maximize efficiency through all phases of design, fabrication, and construction.
Together, the IPD team delivered a high-quality project with significantly reduced costs, a compressed schedule, and record customer satisfaction ratings when compared to the benchmark from similar corporate workplace projects for this client.
“We were fortunate to work with such a knowledgeable and dedicated team on the TD project” says John Potter, Perkins+Will Toronto project lead and associate. “We are also delighted that TD has been recognized for being the first to pilot this project delivery methodology in Canada. This project was rewarding for everyone involved.”
