Recently, we revealed the shoe box containing award-winning designer Karim Rashid’s desert boot created with Sully Wong, the Toronto-based shoe-design company. The one-of-a-kind limited collaboration is set to launch across Canada next spring.
Now we can show the shoe itself.
The Karim for Sully Wong Desert Boot is presented with Karim’s iconic KROMO print on a smooth white leather upper, white heel tab, soft supple leather interior, accompanied by silver eyelets and white-colored leather laces. The shoes are finished neatly with the signature white rubber stitched-cup sole, laser etched logo’s on the tongue and custom air embossed Karim for Sully Wong sole pad.
George Sully and Henry Wong are the two minds behind the footwear and lifestyle brand Sully Wong. “This collaboration is among the biggest in our brand’s history,” says George Sully. “Karim Rashid is one of our generation’s true geniuses and notable designers. Time Magazine considers Karim to be one of the most influential designers of our time. The directions his creative mind takes are astounding and simple out of the box. We love what he’s come up with for the desert boot.”
“I’m always looking for new ways to express my art, and working with George and Henry was a great avenue for me,” says Rashid. “I think we share a passion for creating unique, original designs, and our vision for what we wanted was very clear from the beginning.”
