Shaw Commercial Division announces the creation of Shaw Contract Group Australia, the exclusive distributor and sales organization for Shaw commercial products in Australia. This announcement is the result of Shaw’s acquisition of Purchasing Solutions, its assets and employees. Shaw Commercial’s expanded presence in Australia and New Zealand increases the level of service available for customers in these markets, while reinforcing the strength of the company’s vertically integrated approach to the production of sustainable flooring products for commercial environments.

Purchasing Solutions began supplying Shaw products to the Australian New Zealand markets in 2006. According to managing director Denis Peltier, Shaw Contract Group Australia creates a definite market advantage: “Becoming even more closely aligned with Shaw presents the team here with more tools and benefits to supply our customers with the best performing and sustainable commercial products available.”
Shaw Contract Group Australia will maintain its headquarters in Melbourne, with a team of sales representatives who will service all states throughout the country and in New Zealand. This distributorship accesses all of Shaw’s commercial branded products, many of which utilize EcoWorx carpet tile backing, EcoWorx Performance Broadloom and Eco Solution Q nylon components that are certified through Good Environmental Choice Australia, the only environmental labeling program in Australia.
In addition to Shaw Contract Group Australia, Shaw Contract Group operates around the world with showrooms in London, Singapore and Shanghai, New York City, Chicago and San Francisco.
