A new partnership
Teknion Corporation announced that it has partnered with ANEW (Asset Network for Education Worldwide, Inc.), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to extending the life cycle of surplus furniture and other items through reuse, resale, repurpose, recycling and reporting the landfill diversion metrics outcome. Surplus goods are matched to charitable organizations, public agencies and communities in need.
“ANEW welcomes Teknion as a Steward Sponsor,” said Rose Tourje, ANEW founder and president. “We look forward to furthering the mission of Social Sustainability by working with Teknion as a catalyst for positive change.”
“Environmental Social Responsibility is key to our goal of reducing environmental impacts,” said Scott Deugo, Teknion’s Sustainability Officer. “Joining forces with ANEW extends the life cycle of products and provides necessary resources to those who need them. This partnership not only helps us move towards our sustainability goal, it also benefits our clients, non-profit organizations and communities, and the environment.”
Founded in 2005, ANEW is a non-profit organization based in Los Angeles dedicated to extending the life cycle of surplus furniture, equipment, architectural materials and building assets to schools, public charities and agencies, non-profit organizations and communities in need on a national scale. ANEW is a member of the USGBC and provides submittal documentation toward USGBC LEED Certification.
