Roche Bobois x Pedro Almodóvar
Roche Bobois has paid a tribute to film director Pedro Almodóvar with this theatrical, limited-edition furniture collection. The Cromática capsule aims to bridge cinema and interior design, reinterpreting Roche Bobois’ most iconic pieces through Almodóvar’s lens. Colour is a common language shared by both Almodóvar and Roche Bobois; and plays an important role in design and emotion with it becoming the “protagonist” of each piece.
The standout of the collection is a reissue of the Lounge sofa, released in only 50 numbered and signed editions worldwide. The upholstery features vivid film stills and poster art from Almodóvar’s filmography. Also featured in the collection is the Bubble sofa by Sacha Lakic in four custom shades drawn from Almodóvar’s latest film, The Room Next Door, the Rondo sideboard with graphic panels inspired by his movie posters, and rugs and cushions referencing Volver, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, and High Heels.
Rove Concepts x Maria Sharapova Collection
The newest collaboration with tennis player Maria Sharapova is the second chapter in the Rove Concepts x Maria Sharapova Collection. This collection includes four pieces designed to support wellness, comfort, and everyday life. The collection, which features a sofa, bench, coffee and side table, lamp, and rug, blend grounding materials, soft forms, and a quiet sense of luxury that transition from workspace to retreat. The sofa was inspired by the simplicity of Japanese architecture and a minimalist aesthetic, while the tables feature soft curves crafted from white concrete. The rug is made of woven hemp and featues a delicate fringe design. The collection also features Sharapova’s signature fabrics in taupe and olive, which are available only for the Maria Sofa and Maria Bench.
“Traveling the world, I have been able to see the way culture and design intersect. This collection was born out of my passion for design and inspired by my love of art and architecture. In partnership with Rove Concepts, my first-ever home collection pays homage to my life as an athlete, designer, art enthusiast, and entrepreneur,” said Sharapova.
